On 1 October, Marktlink will open a new office in Warsaw, its first in Central and Eastern Europe and its 18th office in Europe. With this move, Marktlink strengthens its presence in the European M&A market and responds to the growing demand for M&A services in the region.
The Polish office will be headed by Anna Maria Jędrzejczak, an experienced M&A expert with more than a decade of experience. As an M&A director at Ernst & Young, Anna Maria has managed numerous market transactions, both nationally and internationally. She is also co-founder and vice-president of WOM&AN, an organisation that supports women in the M&A sector through networking, knowledge sharing and mentoring.
Poland is one of the largest economies in Central and Eastern Europe and is characterised by a diversified economic structure, with strong industries such as manufacturing, information technology and agriculture. This solid foundation makes Poland an attractive market for mergers and acquisitions. The opening of the Warsaw office gives Marktlink the opportunity to offer its expertise and services to entrepreneurs in this fast-growing region.
Managing Partner Ferry Nahon on the expansion: “Poland is an important economic force within Europe, with a dynamic business environment. With the opening of our Warsaw office, we are strengthening our position in Europe and can further support entrepreneurs in the region with their growth and exit strategies. We are convinced that Anna Maria, with her in-depth knowledge of the Polish market and M&A expertise, is the ideal person to lead Marktlink's operations in Poland.”
With the new Warsaw office, Polish entrepreneurs can rely on Marktlink's international network and expertise. Marktlink works with over 50 deal teams across seven European countries. This offers entrepreneurs access to a wide network of potential buyers and sellers across Europe.
Ferry continues: “Our aim is to help entrepreneurs make the right choices when they want to sell their businesses. Research shows that 70% of European entrepreneurs are considering a sale within the next 10 years. With our pan-European presence and local expertise, we can optimally support entrepreneurs in this important process.”
With this expansion, Marktlink is taking another step in its ambition to offer the best advice to entrepreneurs across Europe. The opening of the Polish office is an important milestone in its strategy to give entrepreneurs in every country access to expert guidance on mergers and acquisitions.
“We look forward to supporting entrepreneurs in Poland with our local presence and international expertise,” Ferry concludes. “With Anna Maria at the helm in Warsaw, we are confident that we can help entrepreneurs close the best possible transactions.”
